About This Book

BOOK 3. End Game. There is nothing left. No town. No people. Outside of Jake Donner's bed room is complete darkness. There's no houses, no streets & no more Faffingly. Nothing and nobody, a void. No friends, no family no one and Jake is absolutely alone with only his own shadow and Claude the Yakkitybug. He must play the game if he is to save everyone and everything. The game is The Numplis Directive and it becomes obvious that there will be a mighty battle soon. The computer game with Jake as the Numplis Warriors Team Leader, must play and win against the Shadow Marauders in the valley of the Dark Echo .But first Jake must tackle many strange and dangerous challenges to reach the fabled valley, before leading the Warriors into battle. Only if they defeat the enemy will he have saved the town and the inhabitants. A fierce battle rages for days. There are casualties on every side. Brack, his identity at long last revealed, leads his army against the mighty Warriors and brave yellow eyes. Are they about to be defeated? But no! The spider-like sredips can weave vast metallic Webs to enclose, encase and destroy the Marauders and finally the battle is won. The town of Faffingly and beyond is back to normal. Yet the strange thing is no one remembers any of this strange phenomenon. Jake, Lloydee, Matt and Kylie can remember some of it, but even they are beginning to think it was just a collective nightmare and, overtime, they too begin to forget. It was a dream --- or a nightmare. One cold winter's evening after school, Jake, Lloydee and Matt decide to ride their bikes to the old telephone exchange just outside the town. There had been rumours for years of strange noises and snot-nosed ghosts roaming the empty dusty rooms and corridors. They want to see for themselves.
