Emma's Peace

Autumn 1944; nurse Emma Dewar is sent to Heath Cross, a sprawling Victorian Hospital in Surrey. The wards are filled with German prisoners of war, and Emma finds a haven from work in the nearby house of Guy Granklin who is now her lover. VE Day brings joy and sorrow. The liberation of Belsen brings personal tragedy and Emma is left with the choice of staying at Heath Cross as a theatre sister, or following her heart to live on the Isle of Man... Emma's Peace continues the story where Emma's War left off.
