Emmaline

Inspired by the 1974 Hot Chocolate single, Emma, this novella tells the story of an 18 year-old single parent of the same name. While her friends are going out and having fun, she is stuck at home with the baby. Depression almost overwhelms her until one night she is dragged out to a disco by her friends. She suddenly realises that she can change her life. That evening, Emma reinvents herself as carefree party-girl, Emmaline â€" but how long can you live a lie, and what happens when her new boyfriend finds out the truth?
