Ellen's Tale is set in a world of post climate change, catastrophic, global wars over resources have decimated the world's population. The survivors are divided into City dwellers secure behind walls and those exsisting behind the false security of land mines, intended to be removed after the wars but still remaining 50 years later.
2162: Two archivists, Ris and Maia, are researching the story of Ellen Welfitt,sheltered City girl and Bix Sefune,a genetically altered soldier. Of the effect their love for each other had on history. Their research concentrates on 50 year old archival material. A second love story emerges through the incomplete correspondence between Ris and Maia.
Although the back history is horrific,Ellen's Tale is itself a hopeful and kindly story of two young people who, against all odds,fall in love and make a life for themselves.
