Elk Season

Backpacker Ryan Hart is deep in a Colorado wilderness with two fellow hikers from L.A. when he witnesses the death throes of the most incredible animal he's ever laid eyes on. Realizing the elk wasn't killed for meat, but as a trophy, infuriates Ryan. A nonviolent young man by nature, one who would rather run than fight, he is surprised at his extreme reaction. He commits an act of defiance that triggers violent retaliation. Ryan and his friends are driven into the depths of a terrifying savagery and the only person who can save them from almost certain death is a young female hunting guide who represents everything Ryan opposes.
