About This Book

This lighthearted tale keeps the essence of the original Holmes characters while putting a contemporary, pseudo-horror spin on his latest adventure.

The premise of Sherlock Holmes having been turned into a vampire by Moriarty, a vampire himself, enables Dr. John Watson's great great granddaughter, Samantha, to assist the famous, equally undead, detective in hunting down his evil nemesis in 2000 AD.

While Moriarty's wicked plans are revealed early in the story, they take a back seat to the explosive confrontations between Moriarty and Holmes as well as the vampire minions who stalk Samantha.

The characters are wonderful. Holmes is complex and believable; he is a dignified, ethical vampire, and, as always, a relentless detective with amazing ability to deduce the impossible.

Samantha Watson is charming, an inept medical student, she is, nonetheless, a committed and enthusiastic assistant to Holmes. The relationship between Holmes and Samantha is beautifully developed.
