Elaine grew up raised by her mother in a small town in North Carolina. After graduating high school she entered Duke University and successfully obtained a degree in Finance. Her specialty in risk management and financial investment got her a job offer in Andover, Massachusetts. Arriving in Andover in the middle of a snow storm, late at night and running out of gas was sure to be some indication of the life she had ahead of her. She had no idea that plans were being made about her life even before she arrived. She was headed into the middle of disaster and totally unprepared to handle it.
