Cody’s grandparents took custody of little Marty after her mother and family died in a hurricane. Cody had to revive little Martha and all of them feared that she would have multiple disabilities. It didn’t happen. Marty is a genius. The only delayed thing about Marty is her slow growth.
Cody and Sierra find out that their mid terms were more extensive that the other freshman. They have passed their freshman year and were promoted to sophomores. But it gets better. They own an island named EDEN COVE. They spent their honeymoon there and one weekend a month. Cody and Sierra are challenged to teach Marty and study online from the island while running a marine grant. Heaven could not be much better.
Love does conquer all but faith does waver. Lives are put in jeopardy. Even when they find the shipwreck; The Prima Donna and stake their claim, even when millions of dollars are the reward, Cody is reminded that nothing matters without his family’s health and safety.
Cody would have gladly handed over everything just to keep his family and friends safe. It was too late. The orders were given. They were to die at the hands of mercenaries. Cody and his family and friends prepare to do something that none of them thought they were capable. They had to learn to kill or be killed.
They were just kids, living life in fast-forward. Was this all there was? Was life just a promise of a future but not a future at all? Cody has to ask himself this question repeatedly. He refuses to give upâ€"it’s just not in him. He loves Sierra and the childrenâ€"his family and his friendsâ€"way too much to give up now.
