Eddie returns to New York City after a four-year absence to try to find and reunite with the love of his life, Mary Spenser. Armed with a degree in psychology, Eddie takes a job as a counselor in an orphanage, and has many interactions with his students that change their lives and his. When one of his students runs away, Eddie teams up with private investigator Nick Fazio to search for the runaway student.
