Eagles Flying High

Jessica McClaren is devastated when she learns that Lady, the thoroughbred horse she and her father raised from a sickly colt, is to be transferred to the West Indies estate of her father's employer. With a heavy heart, Jessica accompanies her father on the hazardous journey to deliver Lady to the South Carolina coast.
When her father is injured, Jessica reluctantly accepts an offer of assistance from Andrew "Mac" Macklin, an intriguing Continental army spy wanted by British redcoats. At first Jessica is wary of the mysterious Macklin, a half-blooded Delaware Indian, but eventually her suspicion turns to friendship as they face numerous dangers together.
As the revolution rages, Mac eludes his Tory enemies and joins his regiment up North. Jess finds herself preoccupied with thoughts of Mac as she fears for his safety. Will he have to sacrifice his life for America's freedom?
