The sun was setting over San Francisco when the earth started to shake. For a native like Charlie, a mild earthquake doesn't usually give her the tremors. Until it raises a skeleton in Chap's own backyard-and a lot of questions about Charlie's seemingly innocent neighbors. She turns detective, aided by her business partner Zack Hunter, once TV's sexiest sheriff.
When another corpse turns up Charlie realizes that somewhere amid the swirling smoke and honky-tonk beat, a murderer waits to engage her in a dance to the death.
