Duet With The Darkness, Part One

Volume Five of Brothers to the Bone takes a radically different turn. Barton Webber is sent to Saigon on a three day pass by his teams members on strict orders to rest and relax. They are concerned that all his bearing of the burdens of walking point and looking out for him are wearing him down. To especially his hooch mate Charley Bighorse, he is showing signs of nervousness that he attributes to his nearing combat fatigue. But what Charley and the rest of the team don't realize is that the cause for his preoccupation and nervousness is of a far different source. A long way away a young lady sits waiting, her dreams are real to her and she is anticipating rescue and deliverance. This is the beginning of their story and the return to action of the Delta team thereafter.
