An arranged marriage was not what Hillary Astaire had hoped for, but she was honor bound to keep her promise to her late father. Until she learned that her betrothed, the viscount of Wolverton, known as Wolf to his friends, considered her to be merely an awkward necessity. Hillary vowed to break off her engagement, but not before fate brought the couple together in Italy, where another amorous war was being waged between the prince regent and his wife, Princess Caroline.
