Hesper has lived two lives: the sweet (but sassy!) twin sister who always visits her parents and helps out whenever she can and the University party girl. After a night gets out of hand and she finds herself suspended just before graduation, she decides to get away. Using the apartment of her cousin in Dublin, she escapes with the hope of building a new persona and dropping her party girl image forever. Duncan has been running the Dublin Field Office of Amnesty International since his predecessor (and the uncle of his former fiancé) was murdered. Having been a "bad boy" for most of his career, he's finally single and re-evaluating his life after accepting that his fiancé moved on and found happiness with her new husband. Determined to make amends for his cheating ways, he swears off sleeping with women at the office and picking up women in pubs. His history makes their union a complete impossibility, but he can't help but fall in love with the young women running from her own ghosts.
