About This Book

It's the start of the summer before eighth grade, and Aislinn "A" O'Neill has so many dreams, she's filled up an entire book. Some of A's dreams are more challenging than others, but A isn't one to give up without a fight. It's not going to be easy. Instead of enjoying her summer going to pool parties and spending time with her friends, A is charged with the daily task of watching her younger siblings, B, C, D, and Baby E, while her parents work hard to make ends meet. She's not allowed to talk to boys. In fact, she's barely allowed out of the house. And hardest of all, her dad's drinking is getting worse by the day.

A has been studying dreams for a long time, and she knows that all a person needs to do is reach down into their heart, grab their dream, and believe. But things get really bad at home, and A wonders if she isn't just a silly girl with hopeless dreams. Then, A has a brilliant idea and what begins as a plea for help to make her father stop drinking, turns into something amazing. People in A's community embrace her idea and step forward to help make others' dreams come true, too.
