Dreams of the Pioneers

As newlyweds, Mary Anna and Daniel Thornton dream of carving out an empire on the Texas frontier. But that is before they discover their new home lies on the main Comanche route to Mexico, and before renegade Comanche begin stealing horses and food.

While Mary Anna has always felt compassion for those who were driven from their homes by the white man, Daniel is not as understanding. Consumed by bitterness toward the Indians, he holds them responsible for his grandfather's death.

Standing in the ashes of their dream-filled home, Mary Anna prays for peace, a peace that may never come. Will the dreams of these young poioneers ever be realized...or will they end in a nightmare of senseless bloodshed?
