About This Book

Dreams of Betrayal is the 1st book in the sci-fi adventure series: 1. Dreams of Betrayal; 2. Realm of Nightmares; 3. Dreams of a King; and 4. Reign of the Leech King. STORYLINE: With the help of her servant Fu-Bar, who is the king's best friend, Queen Lindeur schemes to take over the shire of Capernaum. Secretly, Fu-Bar hates the king, and mocks him behind his back. He not only delights in carrying out the queen's orders to assassinate the king, but wants to take his place as ruler of the kingdom. Meanwhile, in the middle of a violent storm, a man in a black cape awakens at the top of a giant obelisk. With amnesia, Laktos becomes plagued by recurring dreams of a benevolent king who is haunted by evil apparitions. On Laktos' journey to uncover the mystery of his past, his first discovery is that he's an adept swordsman when he encounters a family traveling by a mule-drawn wagon who is about to be attacked by highwaymen. His instincts take over and he quickly jumps to action, wielding his broad-sword, saving the father from certain death. Sailing aboard the tall ship Morningstar, Laktos falls in love with Inga, who he wants to spend the rest of his life with. But after learning that an evil wizard plans to destroy the world, he must decide whether to stay with her or travel to the mysterious island of Monad in order to find the wizard and stop him before it's too late.
