Eli Graham grew up in foster care, and always tried his best to fit in. He's a people-pleaser, and his talent and temperament bring him success in his sales career at Chapman Financial. He never lets anybody see the lonely guy he hides behind his charm and sparkle. Or the hope for family and connection he can't seem to shake.

Caro Richmond owns her own bakery in Cypress Corners, creating new recipes and trying new things at least where her baking is concerned. She suffered a heartbreaking loss three years ago, but it isn't the loss of her fiancé that haunts her. Work is her focus now. She'll leave the living to somebody else.

When Eli comes to work in Cypress, he's immediately taken with Caro. She's gorgeous, but she also seems like she needs some fun in her life. He's just the guy to give it to her, and the annual Fall Festival would be a great place to start. They begin to date, and both of them start to think this might be more than just fun and easy.
