About This Book

We need to win ... one game at a time.

Ninth grade is all that Tiki and Ronde dreamed it would be. They have grown up a lot since the beginning of middle school, and are older and wiser and more mature. They've gotten stronger and taller and their larger hands make it easier to tackle and receive the ball. To make the year even sweeter, their favorite Coach Wheeler is back.

After Tiki is awarded first prize in a schoolwide essay contest and reads the essay in front of the entire school, the kids in school start telling him their troubles, asking for his advice. Then the principal wants Tiki to write an advice column for the school paper. Tiki does his best, but he also wants to make his mark on the field, where he is happiest. How can he do it all?

Inspired by the childhood of National Football League superstars Tiki and Ronde Barber, Goal Line is a story of teamwork, perseverance, and what it takes to be a champion.
