In the waning months of 1944, the world was fully involved in World War II. Few could say they were not. The possibility of world domination by a madman was a real threat. Young men were called to duty, many no more than eighteen years old. They were asked to step up and be men long before it was their time. They found themselves sent abroad to meet Hitler's Army head-on. Assist the Allies to push the tyrant back into Germany. No easy task. First Lieutenant, Eugene Patterson, and his crew of three, maneuver an armored car from the coast of France to treacherous forests and rivers over four-hundred miles inland. In November of 1944, they find themselves at the Battle of Metz at the German border. Along the way they discover new skills, much about themselves, lasting friendships and an unwavering God in the face of extraordinary adversity.
