Dodge City in 1878, crowned "Quenn of the Cowtowns", had become the main trailhead for the great cattle drives from Texas and all the Southwest. The sudden influx of longhorns, silver dollars and drunken cowboys had drawn almost every cardsharp, gunslinger, good-time girl and confidence man in the West. Bullets flew at the drop of an insult--and rip-roaring Dodge ate its sheriffs for breakfast. That was before the arrival of Lucia Bone, a spunky young blonde beauty in search of the secret of her past--and determined to fulfill her dream of opening a school in this godforsaken Sodom on the prairie.
