Katie Burnstine's Mamm left the Amish to marry her Daed before baptism. Katie and her siblings were raised Amish in the Englischer's world, so Katie spends a lot of time with her Amish Grandparents. When Katie finds her twin in the arms of her fiance she 's devastated. Katie has been raised to forgive but finds she's unable to, so she moves away. Katie falls on the ice and Doctor Shane Braxton comes to her aid. Katie recognizes Shane from her brother's birthday party two years ago.
