This is the 12th book in the Misadventures of Lady Molly Catherine and her gang of nobles, heroes, a mermaid, and a western faerie. Wanting to visit the Wishing Arch of Mull just south and west of Glencoe, they travel around from Edinburgh by ship, meet Captain Beatty Bonney...AND...Cole out on the high seas. The wishing takes a little turn and the whole crew lands in Independence, Missouri in the year 1871 with a wagon train headed for California. It just gets more and more exciting from there.
