Trucker Camp Campbell rescued Dusty Macleod as she was fighting off three amorous teenagers in the middle of the Nevada desert. Homeless and penniless, Dusty possessed nothing but a fiery temper and a secret dream of a house with a willow tree. As they traveled the highway to Arizona, Dusty was able to conceal her worry and fear beneath complaints about the constant trucker music that blared from Camp's tape deck.

Yet when they reached Flagstaff, it was hard for Dusty to leave that music, and even harder for her to choose between her dreams and the safety of Camp's company....
