The inhabitants of cell blocks Delta, Gamma, and Bravo had a choice: Life in prison or freedom on an alien planet.
Freedom. Ha. Right. Being the concubine of an alien is hardly freedom. But still, that was a better deal than serving life in prison on Earth.
