Although Nurse Caroline Lawson wanted very much to take the Registered Mental Nurse course, she found the unstructured days on Folkestone Ward less easy then a formal ward routine. And harder still when she found herself working closely with Dr David Hunter, senior psychiatric registrar and a course tutor.
His extrovert personality was in sharp contrast with Caroline's shy reserved nature, but a love of singing drew them together, particulary when Caro realised she could use this with the patients to form a choir. But Caro herself had deep-seated problems to resolve - David wanted to help, but would she let him?
