Deflector

A suspenseful tale of a man happily isolated from the whole of society, a 21st Century hermit, having lived the first four decades of his life witnessing constant bouts of tragedy and inexplicable death to both family members and strangers alike. After years of refusing to do so, the man grants a local newspaper reporter an interview in an attempt to unburden his own weary, battered soul, believing that such a vocal cleansing will remove the massive weight that misery has banded to his very being. As tales are unwoven and shocking truths uncovered, the 'sole citizen', as the old man has been duly labeled by local media, soons discovers that the act of baring one's soul can unwittingly release ancient specters from the past better left locked away and forgotten....
