Mayor and single mom Peggy Jean Turner is happily anticipating her favorite holiday. But this year is different. Dealing with an obnoxious neighbor and organizing a reenactment of the first Thanksgiving for the tourists, she's being pulled in more directions than a wishbone—and things are only getting worse...

Peggy is forced to put aside all thoughts of a traditional Thanksgiving when her antagonistic neighbor is found dead on the village green. Unfortunately, the murder weapon was the kind of turkey skewer Peggy sells at her hardware store—and the paw prints in the snow could be from her cat, which makes her a suspect.
