About This Book

Sean McCraklin has grown tired of the LA life-style and decided to chuck his investment counseling business to write the great American Novel, only his dream is to write a history of North American Native-American tribes that populated the American desert area. His well-intentioned venture quickly goes south when he discovers a dead body while searching for a mysterious cave. When he returns to the scene accompanied by the local sheriff, Shep Dobson (a store owner and local chacter) the body and all traces of a murder have vanished. Irritated by the sheriff's attitude, Sean and Shep decide to pursue the crime, eventually joined by John Walkingbird (a nearby tribe's shaman?). It doesn't take long for the body count to begin increasing, helped along by Noah Criver, a phoney religious leader, and Crash Craddock, a mine foreman. When New York writer Neno Peko and the reservation school teacher, Teresa Wonder, join the good guys the situation is comlicated by a budding romance.
