Death at the Opera

When a traveling opera troupe visits stately Bolitho Court to raise money for a local hospice, few in the audience can imagine the seething cauldron of suppressed violence that lies beneath the greasepaint smiles.
After the Floria Tosca Grand Opera Company has spent a month on the road together, the pressure of sexual and musical rivalry has become unbearable for more than one member of the group. Not so surprising in a company that includes the dark and predatory Maria, her talented rival Isabelle, a professionally and sexually harassed musical director, and Rupert, who's barely in control of his drinking problem.
So when death comes, it seems more inevitable than shocking. But then a second body is found...
