Dearie Goes to the Dentist

Dearie Goes to the Dentist is the third in a series of Dearie books. It shows children that it is not frightening to go to the dentist and, in fact, it can be fun. It is the story of the step-by-step procedures that Dearie goes through and she learns that taking care of your teeth is as important as taking care of other parts of your body. Alan Scott began writing when he was young, finishing his first book, The Will of Our Times, when he was just 19 and attending Oswego State Teachers College in New York. He has continued writing when he could, penning poetry, essays, short stories, novels and an informational guide for Kindergarteners written with Elise Scott. With all this, he gave piano lessons, composed music, raised two sons, and lived the crab grass culture. Now retired from the Connetquot School on Long Island, New York, he continues writing with thirteen published books to his credit.
