Deadly Errand

Driving alone on a rainy night to her boss's remote mountain cabin is definitely not Peggy Hale's idea of a fun Friday evening, but Mr. Tyler insists she's the only one available to deliver an important file to his partner, who is staying there. Peggy loves her job as general manager of Tyler Advertising, so although the prospect unnerves her, she agrees to drop off the attache case.

When Peggy arrives, no one is there--except a man who emerges from the gloom and shoots at her! Fleeing the gunman, she ends up in the arms of Nickolas Donovan, a handsome engineer staying nearby. The next day Mr. Tyler's body is discovered, and his wife accuses Peggy of his murder! Determined to find the real murderer, Peggy decides to do some of her own investigating. Nick volunteers to be her bodyguard, and as they work together she discovers love as well as long-hidden secrets. But with two cars following her and someone with Mr. Tyler's voice threatening her over the phone, Peggy could be next in line for the killer...
