About This Book

Old enemies and new are joining forces. A Bosnian soldier serving with NATO in Afghanistan, guards a prisoner who reminds him too much of his dead father, killed long ago in the Srebrenica massacre. The Afghan prisoner already hates the West, a witness to the chaos of the Soviets and civil war and the Taliban and security forces. They are all the same to him. The prisoner has means and motive, the Bosnian soldier the motive and opportunity. Using a bomb to distract and slaughter the allied forces, the young Bosnian soldier and Afghanistan man make a run for it. And plan. Five Unit is called in to solve a series unsolvable bombings. From West Europe to East, from the Middle East to North Africa, the only connection is the make of the bombs, and the NATO supplies they seem to be made from. With NATO reluctant to admit there may be a killer in their midst, this is the perfect opportunity to use new operative Liv Jacobs' knowledge of the alliances and factions inside the peacekeeping force. But nothing is ever that easy, when their adversaries just want to watch the world bleed and everyone, Five Unit included, is a target.
