Clint Adams is feeling fine when he rides into Broken Branch, Colorado, on his brand-new horse, Eclipse. He's there for a drink and a rest—nothing more—but when he sees a young boy in trouble with the law, a little bit of nothing turns into a whole lot of something... 


Clint bails the kid out of jail, ending up guardian to an angry young man who's out for revenge against a band of outlaws holed up in dangerous Dead Horse Canyon. The boy aims to kill the whole gang, starting with the second-in-command—who just happens to be his own father. Maybe the Gunsmith will kick some horse sense into his young friend before they find the outlaws' lair. Maybe not. Either way, they're heading for a heap of trouble...
