Nine stories of apocalypse and dystopia, from the point of view of an ex-stock broker, a crow, a young girl, a soldier turned holy warrior, a club-going hipster, a nerdy street punk, a beige-wearing businesswoman, a sentient automobile and a being who incarnates every few centuries as a human only to be killed and have to do the whole thing all over again.
