David & Jonathan

The love story between David and Jonathan is one of the most poignant stories in the Bible, but the Book of Samuel is full of time jumps and character shifts. I wanted to tell the story of this remarkable love in a way that's accessible to modern romance readers.I did my best to incorporate bits of the book of Samuel as appropriate, including a few quotes, and I tried when possible to mimic the Biblical language in the speech of the characters.I don't believe that the men of Jonathan and David's time had prejudice against same-sex relationships, as long as the men involved recognized that they would need to marry women eventually and bring forth the next generation. So I delved into the sexual relationship between these two men, and I hope in doing so I've illuminated their story
