This tense fictional story follows Jake Steele, a private investigator, and Mel Tripp, a Pittsburgh Homicide Detective, through a complicated and dangerous investigation that changes the lives of both men forever. As a trial lawyer in hundreds of criminal jury trials, including more than 60 murder trials, Mr. Lewis is uniquely qualified to author a story such as Dark Covenant. During those years, he has had exposure to all types of witnesses and evidence Born and raised in Pittsburgh, Mr. Lewis completed his undergraduate work at Waynesburg College and received his law degree From Duquesne University Law School. In 2001, Mr. Lewis retired from the practice of law to devote full time to his writing. In addition to Dark Covenant, he has authored two other novels; Satan's Boots Don't Creak, and Kallup's Crossroads, both crime novels. He has also authored a textbook for police officers titled The Police Officer in the Courtroom, which is being used as a textbook in the CJ Programs of several colleges.
