Dangerous Holiday

Peace and quiet--that was what Beth Manners was looking for when she rented the beautiful house in the country. She hoped it would be a place where she could take a holiday and begin to forget the tragic events in her past, a place where she could get on with her life and with her work as an illustrator.

But the house turns out to have a malevolent history. Its last occupants were Frank Napier and his wife, the glamorous actress Diane Ellis, who died a violent death within its walls. The police never apprehended her murderer. Is it the half-crazed Wilf Carter? The dour and secretive housekeeper, Mrs. Fielding?
