Robert Agaton and Jessica Russell lived their entire lives in the small town of Osborn Hill, Massachusetts, never really knowing the existence of one another until a chance meeting at the party of a mutual friend. They are immediately drawn to each other and although they have each suffered their share of tragedy, find the love and happiness they’d been searching for. In a short time, Robert, Jessica and her son Ryan become to all who know them, the perfect family. As their relationship matures, their love is tested when a ghost from Jessica's past, returns to reclaim her for his own, putting her relationship with Robert to its ultimate test. In each meeting with him, his seductive spell grows stronger and Jessica becomes more and more disenchanted with her current life with Robert. Robert notices the change and fights to keep their love alive and protect her from him. But when the spell and self doubt reach their climax, Jessica takes Ryan and leaves with him. Neither is heard from again and after a frantic 911 call, Robert is arrested and is accused of their murder after blaming a man who’d been dead for three years for their disappearance. As he fights for his life in death row, he prays that Jessica will remember their love and return to him, freeing him from the nightmare his life has become.
