Crows' Nests and Mirrors

Just about everyone in Three Rivers, Washington, thinks Jenny Ashley is special. She was the first woman to enter the Fourth of July horse race; know she's going to be the first woman firewatcher perched high above the forest in what's known as a crows'-nest.

Miles apart from Jenny, yet near to her in his dreams, Keith Burgess keeps vigil in another crows'-nest. As he fingers a small, round mirror in his hand, a thought takes shape. Reflected across acres of majestic greenery, sapphire springs, and alpine peaks, their love story begins.
