When Amy Tyler accompanies her best friend Laura on a double date to a rock concert, the last thing she expects is to hit it off with Laura's date. Although Laura has no interest in Ben Richardson, she's still furious and insists that Amy never see him again. But Amy and Ben are in the same history class, and they can't ignore their growing feelings for each other. Amy wants to tell Laura about their budding relationship -- but the time just never seems right.

When Laura finds out about Amy and Ben, she delivers an ultimatum: if Amy wants to remain her best friend, she'll break up with Ben. Although Amy values Laura's friendship, she doesn't want to say goodbye to Ben forever. But isn't she supposed to do anything for a friend?
