Cross Country is the incredibly funny story of David Andrews, his son Kevin, and Kevin's friend, Rory, as they endure numerous wild adventures on a bus trip from Las Vegas to New Hampshire. It is a perfect example of Murphy's Law, 'anything that can go wrong, will go wrong.'
Having run out of options David must pack up and leave the city of Las Vegas that he loves and return to the cold of rural New Hampshire. His son Kevin has no choice but to follow, and Rory decides to go along for the ride. David's anger at leaving Vegas only grows when a string of unlucky events befall him starting with a pair of rowdy passengers ogling a dirty magazine. His only solace is in his cigarette breaks at each bus stop, at which he increases the number of cigarettes he smokes exponentially with each stop. Kevin makes friends with sleeping pills, and Rory becomes a resident of the tiny bus bathroom after eating some expired candy. To top it all off a tremendous blizzard seems to be traveling at the same speed as the bus. It is a definite 'feel good' story, you will feel good about your own day after reading how terrible the days become for the three travelers going cross country.
