When Seaman, a Newfoundland dog, is purchased by Meriwether Lewis in the early 1800s, he has no idea of the grand journey that lies ahead. President Thomas Jefferson has asked Lewis to lead an expedition out west to explore the newly acquired Louisiana Purchase. Lewis's friend, William Clark, will help guide the group.
