About This Book

Messages received at a séance, followed by an attempt on her life and a fire that destroyed her art gallery, prompt Jenna to return to a small, quaint village in Italy to verify her father's reincarnation there. Jenna's high school sweetheart, Larry, now a Homicide Detective, wants Jenna safely away from New York city and her abusive, dangerous ex-boyfriend, Rico, the heir apparent to the Pereilli crime family. In Italy, Jenna is welcomed by Mario, an artist and good friend to Jenna and her father. Mario's new young wife is experiencing a difficult pregnancy. Mario needs help running his gallery, taking care of his wife, and dealing with his wife's disabled sister, Rosa. Jenna is happy to stay at Mario's house and help out. Dealing with Rosa is a challenge, but Rosa grudgingly accepts Jenna's friendship. As Jenna settles into life in the village, Rico is obsessed by his desire to kill Jenna. Despite the warnings and sanctions his family heap on him, Rico finds people he can pay to enable him to reach his goal, Jenna's violent death. The peace and security Jenna finds in the village is suddenly shattered when Rico finds her. His second attempt to murder Jenna ends in tragedy for Rico. Then, a stunning secret about Rosa is revealed. In the end, a tiny birthmark of a crescent moon on a newborn child restores Jenna's faith in life, her future, and the endless journey of the human soul.
