After finally defeating the alien Cen, humanity's vicious enemy, Inspector Turtan faces a new and perhaps greater challenge. He must travel to the planet Masada 97 years away to save a Cross colony from a meteor strike. However, his ship crashes on Masada and Turtan is almost killed. Though he recovers, his face is destroyed and he loses his memory. He does not even know who he is.While recovering, he learns that Phoenix colony, which once numbered 120,000 has been reduced to 2000. Because of mutual hostilities, the colonists have split into two warring camps: the Blacks and the Grays. Turtan's life has been saved by the Grays, but he must find a way to recover his memory and end this endless war so he can bring peace and cooperation to both sides. Only then will he have a chance of saving the planet from the meteor's imminent strike—and of defeating an evil adversary with cosmic powers.
