Courting Grace

You're plain looking and mean mouthed and the older you get the more cantankerous you become. No wonder Papa wants you out of his house." "Pembroke says Melody can't marry until after Grace does." Trey Alwin explained to his older brother. "And," Ross asked. Knowing there was more to come. "Nobody in their right mind is going to marry Grace Pembroke." Trey swallowed, wishing he hadn't said that part, but it was too late to take the words back. "Any how, if she doesn't marry, I can't marry Melody. Pembroke won't change his mind on the matter. Me and Melody figure the only way we can get married is for us to find Grace a husband."
