About This Book

Cora Fletcher traveled across country to a new life after the last of her family passed. As her father became bedridden, he explained that she had an inherited ranch from her mother in Montrose Arkansas. With no reason to stay, she started the process of relocating herself to another part of the country.
Cora was wise with her few finances and would not spend money until it was necessary. She spent several weeks in her ranch house without furniture because she was not sure if she could become productive in Arkansas.
A little neighbor girl befriended Cora and they shared teaching duties. Effie needed to learn to be a lady, and Cora had much to learn about ranching. Things were going along nicely until Effie's father found that she was not attending ‘lady' classes in town with an older woman. Instead, she was visiting a neighboring ranch with someone he had never met. With fear in his heart, he went to the ranch and was stunned to find a beautiful woman as his new neighbor.
