Concas

The last days of Veruterrae are fast approaching. Raving insane, he has been driven out of power and into isolation. The visionaries have won. However, though he is but a shadow of his former self, he is not yet ready to give up the good fight. He knows he has an expiration date, but that only makes him more reckless, more dangerous, more of a threat to the visionaries. Luke is exhausted. The twenty-fifties are ending, and the twenty-sixties are starting, but the pressure is only increasing, and he is not sure he can take it. Though he has enjoyed his bizarre, glorious, world-hopping, empire-building journey, he is ready for it to come to an end. He is ready for the next stage of his life to begin, whatever it may be. Delegating leadership powers, he relaxes and contemplates his future, but he knows that future will never be his so long as Veru is around causing chaos. Setting off to kill their nemesis, the visionaries swear that this time will be the last time.
