About This Book

An attempt to unravel the very complicated and controversial subject of Professor-Student relations in higher education. One factor to be addressed is the impact of the college culture and environment on the nature and scope of Teacher-Student relations, and another crucial matter of examination is to analyze and expose the dicey topic of sexual harassment policies and its flaws. Relating my personal experiences with students over 38 years -- from the most intimate to those interactions known as close friends --I want to offer a perspective that judges the positive and negative perspective of students interactions with professors. Hopefully it can be shown that Professor-Student relations cannot be properly understood by quantitative black-and-white formulas or parameters, but rather in shades-of-gray qualitative measurements, appropriate for judging the nature and behavior of human beings.
