Police Lieutenant Matt Leahy is notified that he has been assigned to work with the National Security Agency in an investigation at a top-secret government base. He learns that an element of extraterrestrial origin that powers the world's first time transporter has been sabotaged. Computer models reveal that another source of the element came to Earth in a meteor that struck Egypt in 1250 B.C., but the agent sent back in time to recover it has vanished into the world of Pharaoh Ramses II.
